Blue Badge parking spaces:

• 23 disabled parking spaces across the site distributed across all parking zones

• Blue Badge residents must display both a Blue Badge and a valid RCY parking permit

• Blue Badge Visitor spaces:

  • Zone 2/North Meadow (2 spaces)

  • Zone 5 (Cooperage Green) (5 spaces)

• Disabled Parking bays will have additional margin of space and step-free access to pedestrian routes

 

What changed from the last proposal?

• Slightly better location of the disabled parking bays in North Meadow

• Parking Management signs redesigned to help visually impaired

• Number and location of disabled parking bays expected to change over time to reflect needs

 

Remaining concerns:

• Are the locations of disabled parking bays suitable for current needs?

• Some popular routes around the site still do not have sufficient level access to avoid wheelchair users having to take to the roadway
