The Slaughterhouse - Update

An update on plans for the Slaughterhouse including a lime mortar workshop

The RCMRA Chairman (Paul Edwards) met with Gail Baird from the Sustainable onservation Trust (SCT)

The lottery funding was not approved for this application, although there was much verbal support for what was being proposed.  The application was not approved due to the number of applicants competing for the funding and a technical issue with the proposed lease agreement.

SCT are due to hold meetings over the coming weeks to resolve the property agreement and once that is completed, they will re-submit the application.  There is no specified time in the year when a funding application can be submitted but there is an eight week application/approval cycle.

In the meantime, SCT has agreement that the Slaughterhouse can be used for ad hoc events such as the theater rehearsals that took place on 12th April.

The next event scheduled is a lime mortar repair workshop on 02 MAY 25.

Any resident interested in this workshop can apply to attend. There is a fee of £40 fee.
