Consultation Meeting Wed 2nd August 6pm: RCY Conservation Area

Wed 2nd August 2023 6-8pm Sea Cadets Hall, Cooperage Green, Royal Clarence Yard

Royal Clarence Yard & Marina residents are invited to an interactive consultation evening about the RCY Conservation Area 6-8pm on Wednesday 2nd August at the Sea Cadets Hall in Cooperage Green.

Michelle Lees (Programme Manager for Gosport Heritage Action Zones) writes:

"We look forward to welcoming you to the Royal Clarence Yard Conservation Area Residents Consultation meeting next week.

"We are going to be joined by Gosport resident and Graphic Facilitator Emma Paxton who will be leading the meeting and creating a live illustration on the evening to capture some of the ideas shared by the group around topics including:

  • what’s special about RCY

  • what should be preserved

  • and how improvements could be made.

"Everyone will have the chance to participate and have their views and ideas recorded. It’s going to be a really interactive and (hopefully!) fun evening.

"We look forward to seeing you and hearing your views to help shape the future for Royal Clarence Yard."

Working on this project with Emma Paxton looks like it should be a entertaining session and is quite a novel approach. We would like to encourage residents to come along and take part. This is your opportunity to express your views on the future of Royal Clarence Yard as a place to live, work and enjoy yourself.

Basic refreshments of tea, coffee and water will be available but if you have any preferences for fruit teas etc please bring a tea bag or two.
