Plans for new building at Royal Clarence Yard revealed

We have received information (see link to flyer below) from Berkeley Homes about the revised planning application they are submitting to Gosport Borough Council for the NM7 building - on the empty plot facing the Forton Lake bridge.

The headline facts are that they have re-planned the building which was previously approved in 2005 as a 7 storey building containing 78 apartments (a PDF of the previous plans can be dowloaded from the link below) .

The new plan is for a reduced size building comprising:

  • 4 storeys

  • 55 apartments

There would be 16 parking spaces within the footprint of the new building, with the remaining parking to be accommodated in North Meadow (which was included in the recent parking management plan which was approved by GBC). Interesting to note that they are planning this building to have 1:1 parking available. No doubt more info will emerge once the full plans are submitted to GBC.

If you wish to comment on the information provided on the flyer directly to Berkeley Homes, they have provided a dedicated e-mail address: RCM.NM7@berkeleygroup.co.uk.
