Slaughterhouse new home for Church?

Berkeley Homes has submitted a new formal application for change of use for the Slaughterhouse on the Royal Clarence Marina Waterfront to become a church. Permission had been previously been granted for the Slaughterhouse tio be used as one or two restaurants.

The planning application documents can be found online at the GBC Planning portal. Application number: 15/00153/FULL. Case Officer is David Cranmer. Here are links to the main documents:

Comments to GBC can be made online or by e-mail or letter (deadline appears to be 23/24 April with a target determination date of 18 May).

Some people may have had an opportunity to see the Church's plans at the Christmas in the Bakery event in December. Rev George Bexon, the minister of the Gosport Waterfront Baptist Church (formerly the Stoke Road Baptist Church) tells me that he is planning to invite residents to see the plans at their unit in Cooperage Green (date tbc). If anyone has any questions or would like to talk to Rev Bexon direct, you are also welcome to contact him via the Church website.
