Voluntary Organisation founded by RCY Resident Wins People's Health Trust Grant

Gosport Partners Through Pain is a Gosport based voluntary, non-profit making group for sufferers of chronic pain symptoms. It was founded in 2011 by RCY resident, Brenda Hadfield, following a conversation with her GP.

Following a successful application to the People's Health Trust, Partners Through Pain has been given a substantial grant to enable outings for members and for day-today running costs. Gosport MP, Dame Caroline Dinenage, recently visited the group to celebrate their success (pictured above with founder & President Brenda Hadfield; Chairman, Andy Faulkner and other members).

The organisation aims is for members to provide each other with support through regular meetings where experiences, views and beneficial ideas are shared in an informal, friendly environment. An additional aim is to provide talks by invited speakers, regular lunches at local venues and occasional outings to places of interest. Sufferers can often feel isolated and depressed which is exactly why a group like Partners Through Pain is so important.

If you or anyone you know suffers from chronic pain, you can contact Partners Through Pain via their website.
