Berkeley Homes has let us know that there will be a temporary disruption to traffic flow at the North end of Weevil Lane on Friday, 22nd May (8am -4pm) while they remove some of the temporary cabins from the NM7/Bridge House construction site. While the cabins are being moved, Weevil Lane will be closed in both directions. Berkeley Homes will endeavour to keep the diversions to a minimum throughout the day and is hopeful that the diversions will only be in place for approx. 45 mins at a time (for 4 cabins) between the hours of 8am -4pm. Weevil Lane will remain fully open in between lifting operations
Access for Commodore Place will remain unaffected. Traffic for Regents Place and destinations east of Weevil Lane within RCY will be diverted through the Ceremonial Gates (see map below). There will be site-qualified marshals on Weevil Lane and at the Ceremonial Gate to direct traffic and avoid congestion. The marshals will prevent large vehicles from using this access route and will control entry & exit traffic flows through the Ceremonial Gate. Please note that the width of the opening is adequate (over 3.3m) to accommodate an emergency vehicle, if necessary.
Any queries about the closure, diversions or operations on the day should be addressed to Mike Paddock, Berkeley Homes Project Manager (tel 07976 426918).
